Magneto Longboard Review
1. Magneto Slot Machine Longboard Skateboard
The feature that separates it from the rest of the longboards is the use of slot on deck. It increases the smooth turning and carving capability of the board.
The first thing that will catch your attention is the amazing design on the deck. The deck of this one is 40’’ long. The use of slot makes it more interesting. They placed it by a cut through process in the deck.
The slot covers almost the entire deck length. That will allow both sides of the deck to be flexible separately while carving and turning. It will bring an extra thrill in your ride.
This one is made for speed racing. That’s why they used Slicks ABEC 9 rated bearings in it. It will provide your desired speed in a smooth way.
To ensure top-class performance, it has 7’’ aluminum trucks with 70mm wheels. The hardness level of the wheels is 78A.
It comes with grip tape and the design is machine cut. It has 2 types of roughness. They used OS36 to make the outside rougher. Then, they used OS80 grip tape on the inside.
With better turning, carving, and pushing, this one will surely satisfy you as a perfect board. You will certainly gather some new riding experience with this one.
Plus, the price range is very reasonable which is also an important part of any board. For those amazing features, you will not regret it if you decide to buy it.
- Good looking design
- Use of slot to make both sides to bend independently
- High rated bearings for convenient speed
- Reasonable price
2. Magneto Longboards Bamboo Longboards for Cruising, Carving, Free-Style
Now I have a bigger one for you from Magneto. They produced some quality boards over the years and this one is one of them.
This longboard is a gigantic one with a 46″ bamboo and fiberglass made deck. The width of the deck is 9″. They used 3 layers of bamboo for flexibility and fiberglass to make it strong and durable.
It is needless to say that it will provide a huge space for the rider. Probably too much for some. Plus, to carry this giant board can be a bit of a problem.
This board is sturdy enough to handle heavy loads. It can carry up to 275 lbs of weight. Plus, it’s flexible enough to give you comfort practicing some dance moves on it.
It comes with kick tails on both ends. That will help those who will use it for tricks. It is top-mounted to provide extra comfort for the dancers also.
This one comes with high angle Paris style trucks. The wheels are 70 mm which is very big and wide. The big wheels might cause some disturbance while going at top speed as the wider wheels will cause more friction.
You won’t need to use grip tape as the manufacturer already gripped it with a sandblast grip.
It will stay steady when you push it. The turn and curves are also pretty easy to perform with it.
If you love dancing or freestyle riding and is looking for a big longboard, then this one is definitely for you. That is, of course, if you don’t have any problems carrying it around.
- Huge space on the deck
- Strong and durable because of fiberglass use
- Impressive weight capacity
- Good for dancing and freestyling
- Carrying it around can be irritating
3. Hana Longboard Collection
The Hana series of longboards from Magneto is one of the finest collections you will find in the market.
The inspiration for the Hana longboards came from the dark sand beaches. They try their best to give you the feel of the beach.
Hana longboards have very special graphics designs printed on their deck. All the decks are made out of bamboo. The graphics are printed into the bamboo layers using laser technology.
That way the beauty of the deck won’t fade away over time. They also used sand grip instead of grip tape. That helps to show off the bamboo deck while still have enough grip to keep your feet steady.
I am going to discuss 3 different boards of the Hana series. The first one is the Twin Bamboo longboard.
As the name suggests, the shape of this one is Symmetrical on both ends. It has a 42’’ long and 9.5’’ wide deck designed for cruising and freestyle. The deck has a hard maple core and an 8 layers laminate. It also has striped bamboo from top to bottom.
It has a 32’’ wheelbase to make the turns and curves perfect with better stability. This one is a good one for the beginners to start cruising with.
The next one is the Hana Cruiser longboard.
The deck dimension of this one is 42 x 9 inches. The wheelbase is 34’’ in this. The shape of the deck is a Symmetrical cutout on both sides of the deck. The other features are the same as the first one. You can use it for dancing also.
And the last one is the Hana Pintail longboard.
The name already gives you a picture of how it looks. It’s a longboard with pintails. The deck dimension is the same as the first one. The wheelbase is 31’’ of this one. The other features are the same as the previous one. It is best for cruising.
All of them will provide the best value for your money with their performances.
- Amazing looking designs
- Strong and durable
- Options to choose according to the riders need
- Fast speed and safe to do tricks
- Good for beginners
Someone who is looking for a longboard to use for dancing purposes or freestyling should go for the Magneto Bamboo Longboard. For a beginner, it will be good to start with the Twin Bamboo Longboard. Those are just my opinion. You can go for any of them according to your preferences.
